Stamped concrete runs about $18 to $24 per square foot depending on pattern complexity and whether you want one colour or a release-accent second tone. That is typically 30 to 45 percent less than natural flagstone installed.

Sealed stamped concrete can be slick when wet. We add a clear anti-slip aggregate into the sealer coat on any pool surround, step, or sloped area – it is invisible and it works.

Twenty-five years or more structurally. The colour and sealer need refreshing every three to four years, which is a weekend job with a roller.

Only with an overlay, and only if the existing slab is structurally sound with no heaving or major cracking. If the base has failed, an overlay just hides the problem for a season. Jeff will tell you honestly which situation you are in.

Ashlar slate, random stone, European fan, wood plank, and running-bond cobble are the most common. If you have seen a pattern elsewhere, send a photo – most are available.
