Yes. We form around posts and footings and leave a proper expansion gap so the slab and the deck can move independently.

Every concrete slab develops hairline shrinkage cracking – that is physics, not a defect. What we control is where. Control joints are cut at the correct spacing so the slab cracks along a straight tooled line instead of randomly across the middle.

A filled hot tub with people in it can exceed 5,000 lb. We pour 150mm with a doubled rebar grid for hot tub pads instead of the standard 100 to 125mm.
